1. Introduction

Welcome to Grocery Budgeter. We respect your privacy. This Policy explains what data the app handles and how it’s used.

2. Information We Handle

On-Device Data Only

The app saves your baskets and items locally on your device to power its features. Examples include:

• Basket names and creation dates
• Item names, quantities, units, prices, and checked/unchecked status
• Your preferred currency symbol
• Recent price history per item name (to help you reuse prices)

We do not collect personal identifiers (name, email, precise location) and we do not upload your data to our servers.

Optional Device Permissions

• Notifications (optional): for reminders, if you enable them in future versions.
• Storage/Share (optional): if you export a list or report you explicitly create and share.

Analytics / Crash Reports (Optional)

Not enabled by default. If we add privacy-friendly analytics or crash reporting later, we’ll update this Policy and the in-app disclosures. No grocery content (your baskets/items/prices) will be sent in such reports.

3. How We Use Information

• Display and manage your grocery lists and budgets offline
• Remember recent prices per item (on device) for faster entry
• Improve stability and performance (e.g., via anonymized crash data if you opt in, in future)

4. Children’s Privacy

The app is suitable for all ages and does not require sign-in.

5. Data Security

Your data stays on the device using platform-provided storage. We do not operate a cloud backend for your lists.

6. Third-Party Services

We do not share your data with third parties. If we later integrate services (e.g., Google Play billing for IAP, AdMob for ads, Analytics/Crashlytics), we will update this Policy and provide controls/opt-outs where applicable.

7. Your Choices & Controls

• Edit or delete data: You can remove items/baskets within the app.
• Clear all data: Uninstalling the app removes local data. If we add an in-app “Clear Data” option, it will erase locally stored baskets and price history.
• Exports you create: Any file you export or share leaves your device under your control.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy as the app evolves. Changes will appear on this page with an updated effective date.
